I have decided to take on a breastfeeding challenge project and document the pure beauty of breastfeeding in hopes of shedding light on society and views that breastfeeding has portrayed in today's world. 

Being a doula and fellow breast feeder I have seen first hand how society portrays breastfeeding mothers, how hard it is to receive support in the community whether it be at your own work place, feeding in public, even in ones own home and it truly breaks my heart when these hurdles overcome a mother and she gives in, Don't get me wrong we are starting to come along way in the breastfeeding world but as a society we are still slacking on support and acceptance. 

My goal is to make a support wall of breastfeeding mothers to share with my clients to show hey its OKAY to breastfeed your child.

Breastfeeding has been near and dear to my heart but being active duty with my first I was constantly at a brick wall with dealing on how I chose to feed my child and refused to let the ARMY dictate it. I was able to breastfeed him for a year (not fully exclusive ) but wished I could of done it longer! Now that I have had my second with out all the military drama the journey has been absolutely bliss full and going a year and 2 months strong!!! I want to share that with the world and have mothers able to look at these portraits for years to come and not be shameful. Being a doula I have seen mothers give in to society and it truly breaks my heart! 

With this breastfeeding journey project I will set up a week out of every month to document new and recurring mothers and their journey to give them confidence to keep going, spread awareness to the community and have a strong connection with you ladies as well as help other moms in the community. 

You will receive photo(s) fully edited via email at no charge. Every month I will set up a new location to document this journey either being my home studio, friends studio, park etc... (am open for ideas). You will also receive discount prices if you wish to get family photos, smash cake, children, etc...

I had the amazing opportunity to not only be this families doula but was able to document Miss K's arrival in ever lasting photographs. After a long 28 hours on a nasty rainy day this amazing family welcomed Miss K into the world on December 16th at 9:55 am surrounded by her father, grandmother, great-grandma and a waiting room of family. Labor and photography are my passions and I want to join you in your pregnancy journey making your delivery an amazing, memorable, empowering experience as well as documenting these milestones in ever lasting portraits.

I am a mother of two amazing boys with two very different labors. I have been on both sides of the bridge of being induced, having pain medication, dealing with horrible tearing and being scared into things I never wanted. To having the labor I WANTED, pure bliss and an empowering experience every mother should experience.

I have gone through my DONA training and currently working on my certification.

Current Pricing $400 ($800 for Doula and birth/maternity photos)
I will offer myself to you in helping you achieve a positive memorable birth experience, give you my knowledge in childbirth, help with your birth plan and most importantly being your advocate in such a scary/memorable/exciting time in your life.
What you will receive in the service:
- 2 pre - labor meet ups (more if wanted by mother) to discuss birth plan, your thoughts, worries, wants and to get to know me before your most memorable day.
- 1 postpartum visit
- Offer knowledgeable information about topics you may be interested in
- Monthly phone calls to catch up, discuss your pregnancy as well as weekly the month before due date to every other day 2 weeks before due date and until your bundle of joy joins us.
- Provide comfort with pain relief techniques that include breathing, relaxation, massage and laboring positions.
- encourage partner to help and offer reassurance
- Act as your advocate, encourage and help fulfill your specific desires you may have for your birth.
- Offer help with breastfeeding and bonding between the new baby and other family members.
