Wonderful 2016| Birth Photography| Ending out the year| Bring on 2017| Love at First Sight Photography & Doula Services

2016 started off in pure bliss with the birth of our daughter in early January and 2016 ended with a bang having one of my empowering images featured in the Huffington Post and Birth Becomes Her for best birth photos of 2016.
I attend 8 births total ranging from birth documenting, doula services and sibling doula for 2016 and cannot wait to see where the birth world will take me this year.

Thank you to all of my past 2016 clients for inviting me into your birth space to offer support, portraits and trust with your children. You all are beautiful, empowering, full of life, amazing mothers and I am so blessed to be able to witness that.

Here is a quick glimpse into this past year

(
I will be gifting every birth documenting client that books by February 1st a complementary pick of maternity, lifestyle, 3 month, 6 month or smash cake session ($175 value))

Duke University Hospital| Baby BOY| Beautiful birth| Strong mother| Love at First Sight Photography & Doula Services| Doula Services at Duke Hospital| Birth Photography| Doula Services

Looking back at this birth and I am still blown away at how empowering and beautiful it was. Duke University Medical Center, or as its called around here "Big Duke" offers an amazing experience to women in labor hands down!! Midwife on duty was one of the best I have witnessed in a hospital setting. Mom was able to deliver anywhere OUT OF THE BED (sorry for the caps but I am still in shock and beyond excited that hospitals are now offering this to women!) and dad, I repeat DAD was allowed to catch his baby boy while mom squatted on a birthing stool outside of the bed <3

This is how birth should be! Women should have a choice on how they bring a child into the world and for a huge well sought after hospital to bring these options to the birthing world is beyond amazing because lets face it, not every woman is comfortable giving birth at home, a birth center or they may not have the option due to medical reasons for any of the above.

Thank you mom and dad for letting me be a part of your birth, offering doula support to you both and witnessing this breathtaking birth. You did it momma and you rocked the mess out of it!!
